The Perkun is an icebreaker, built in 1963 by P. K. Harris and Sons Ltd., at Appledore.
She was built for the Polish Ship Salvage Company, and is registered at Szczecin.
The vessel has a gross tonnage of 1,152, net 272 tons; her overall length being 185 ft. 4 in., a beam of 46 ft., depth of 24 ft. and draft of 16 ft. 4 in.
Engines comprise four Ruston and Hornsby diesels, each of seven cylinders, driving four generators, each of 610 k.w. connected to four electric motors, and two screw shafts.
